"Mama Deer" is the matriarch of the deer family in our greenbelt. She is the oldest female and has a crooked nose and bite. When she had her twins May 30th this year, she was scarce for about 6 weeks. One night I was feeding the "patrons" when she came out of the clearing. When she recognized me, she started running to me. The look of joy and recognition was priceless. She ate the carrots right out of my hand. This year she had a male and a female fawn.
