Squirrels love oranges. Cut in half and hung on screws, they devour what they can from the top of the fence. When they've eaten most of the orange, they maneuver the orange half off the screw and hold in their paws to eat the rest. I save the last of the peanut butter jar, go out to the fence, and using a spatula, scrape out the remains and paint the peanut butter in the open knotholes and picket fence corners. Birds and squirrels love to find the hidden peanut butter. Isn't it fun to place surprise treats in odd places and then watch with joy and eager anticipation as the finding begins?
