Fawns nurse for about 3 months or as long as their moms will let them. They start eating grasses and leaves around 6 weeks or so. They love small apple and carrot slices. They will eat grapes and melons but most all deer dislike citrus of any kind. At 6 months old, their 4-chambered stomachs are fully developed.
